From Bedroom to State-of-the-Art Media Room – a Story of Transformation.

Client Requirements
Our client wanted to convert, one of the spare bedrooms in his penthouse apartment into a home theater, that would impress his guests and family members. He wanted a media room that would provide the ultimate audio/video experience. 

The room that our client wanted to convert was 12.4 feet wide by 14.4 feet deep. Due to the room layout, we had to place the screen on the wider wall and work through limitations of the room depth, in order to create an enjoyable viewing experience. 

Suitably impressed with our work, our client has engaged our services to extend the audio to play across the house, especially in the formal living room.

About the Client 
Our client, Mr Venkat, owns a software company in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. 

Details of Solution Provided
The custom solution that we provided was complete in every way and includes the following: 

Projectors and Screens – we fitted a 3D projector with a 106-inch screen. The screen cover rises automatically at the start of a movie.

Speakers – we installed a 5.1 speaker system.  The front speakers were behind screen. We also had to seal the window that was located behind the screen. We placed convenient and discreet surround sound speakers within the ceiling. 

Receivers – An A/V receiver with 125 watts per channel.

Players – We fitted the home theater system with a BluRay player to play movies, Cable TV box to watch television, Apple TV to listen to music and Chromecast to surf the Internet.

iPad control – we provided an iPad controller to control playback of movies, TV and music, to control lights, screen cover and also provide sound in the patio.

Woodwork – An existing closet was modified and converted into a equipment rack without having to build out a custom equipment rack.
 
Acoustics – The walls and the ceiling was installed with acoustic material. Plywood was used for soundproofing where necessary.
